The friendship between Emir Kusturica and Srba Dinić is to be recharged once more in its most inspirational form – through Bolsoi Festival, on Mokra Gora. Maestro Dinić shall conduct two concerts performed by the festival’s orchestra and soloists: Roman Simović, Milijana Nikolić, Tatiana Samouil and Justus Grim.
Overture 1812 by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky is to open the Festival’s program on the first day, July the 13th, to be later on followed by Shostakovich’s Concert No.1 in A-minor for violin, performed by Roman Simović and the orchestra. Finally in the night, the audience will have the chance to hear Pictures at an Exhibition by Modest Mussorgsky.
On the festival’s closing night that takes place on Saturday, July 15, the program starts once more with Tchaikovsky, this time with his Romeo i Juliet Suite. Brahm’s Double Concerto for violin and cello in A-minorshall be performed by Tatiana Samouil and Justus Grim, supported by the Festival’s orchestra.The very last act of the Festival involves Milijana Nikolić, mezzo-soprano, performing the most beautiful arias of Tchaikovsky, Verdi, Bizet.
Mećavnik is known to be the place that gathers and bounds artists from all over the world. This time Srba Dinić will be the one to gather them during three Festival’s days and, together with the orchestra and soloists, help the Boljsoj Festival to keep its place among very special events of classical music worldvide.
