The Puritans premiere in Theatro de Bellas Artes

.

The last opera premiere that Srba Dinić had with the Orchestra Bellas Artes was Tosca in November 2015. Very happy to be performing together again, they are very dedicated while working very hard on the new premiere of Bellini’s opera The Puritans.

The period of separated reading rehearsals is over and everybody’s together on the stage now: the soloists, the choir, the symphonic, as well as the orchestra on and behind the stage. This is the third production of The Puritans for Srba Dinić. The first one was in Concert Theatre in Bern, the second one in Finland in Savonlinna Music festival with the Theatro Massimo from Palermo.

The third production brings new excitements, a new venue and artists whose enthusiasm and dedication let us rediscover the beauty of Bellini’s work. The director is Ragnar Conde. The main roles are reserved for Javier Camarena, Leticia Altamirano, Armando Piña, Rosendo Flores, Isabel Stueber…

The second week with the Mexican Philharmonic Orchestra

.

Srba Dinic and the Mexican Philharmonic Orchestra continue to work together. During the second week of their rehearsals a new symphony concert is being prepared. The opening act of the program shall be Ludwig van Beethoven’s Egmont Overture Op.84. The program is also to include symphonic piece Cumbres composed in 1940 by José Pablo Moncayo(1912-1958), a prominent Mexican composer and conductor, who convincingly demonstrated the essence of national aspirations and contradictions of the Mexican Society of XX century. The concert will continue with the well-known Symphony No. 3, F major, Op.90 by Johannes Brahms. Brahms’s Symphony No. 3 is often considered as “more close to perfection artistically” than any other. This led to its wide use by artists all over the world, including movie scenes, TV shows and popular music. The audience will have the opportunity to hear this concert program in two separate terms.

Concert Performance of Hansel and Gretel Opera

.

Mexico city audience will have the opportunity to experience Hansel and Gretel, one of the Brothers Grimm best known fairy tales, in the most beautiful manner possible.  The Bellas Artes Orchestra is preparing this sweeping and demanding opera by Engelbert Humperdinck with special enthusiasm, since it will be performed for the youngest audience.  Humperdinck himself called this piece an opera fairytale, while libretto was written by his sister Adelheid Wette.

Maestro Srba Dinic will revisit his favourite childhood heroes now to be performed by Anabel de la Mora as Gretel, and Isabel Stuber Malagamba as Hansel. Bearing in mind that the Bellas Artes orchestra and their chief-conductor Srba Dinic have not performed together for several months, this concert will also be a nice announcement of joint continuation of the season brimming  with beautiful concerts.

Concert with Strings of St. George

.

It is an honour to work with an orchestra which is unique and willing to progress, said maestro Dinic. According to him the willingness is reflected precisely in their repertoire, for playing Mozart is very demanding. The composer’s works require perfect delivery. Even a tiny flaw can be heard and observed by the audience, and every audience deserves to hear the best, said Mr Dinic.
