Mexico city audience will have the opportunity to experience Hansel and Gretel, one of the Brothers Grimm best known fairy tales, in the most beautiful manner possible. The Bellas Artes Orchestra is preparing this sweeping and demanding opera by Engelbert Humperdinck with special enthusiasm, since it will be performed for the youngest audience. Humperdinck himself called this piece an opera fairytale, while libretto was written by his sister Adelheid Wette.
Maestro Srba Dinic will revisit his favourite childhood heroes now to be performed by Anabel de la Mora as Gretel, and Isabel Stuber Malagamba as Hansel. Bearing in mind that the Bellas Artes orchestra and their chief-conductor Srba Dinic have not performed together for several months, this concert will also be a nice announcement of joint continuation of the season brimming with beautiful concerts.

It is an honour to work with an orchestra which is unique and willing to progress, said maestro Dinic. According to him the willingness is reflected precisely in their repertoire, for playing Mozart is very demanding. The composer’s works require perfect delivery. Even a tiny flaw can be heard and observed by the audience, and every audience deserves to hear the best, said Mr Dinic.
